Preparing a report card in English
HYPERPLANNING allows you to edit the report cards in English even if you use HYPERPLANNING in French. If you use HYPERPLANNING in English, make sure that the standard designations are in English and go directly to the fourth step.
First step: Enter international subject designations
- Go to the display Schedules > Subjects >
List.
- Double-click in the column International designation. If you do not see this column, click on the button
at the top right of the list to display it.
- Enter the international designation of the subject.
The international designation allocated to a subject applies to all the services in the subject.
Second step: Enter the international module designations
- Go to the display Grading > Grading services >
Grading services (per class).
- Select a class to view its services and modules.
- Double-click in the column International designation of the modules. If you do not see this column, click on the button
at the top right of the list to display it.
- Enter the modules' international designation.The international designation allocated to a module is valid only for the class concerned by the module.
Third step: Use the international designation in the grading documents
- Go to the display Grading > Gradebooks/Report cards/Summary >
Definition of the mock-ups.
- Select the mock-up on the left.
- On the right, click on the tab Body of the gradebook/Body of the report card/Body of the summary/Body of the multi-year report card, insert Details of the modules, services and sub-services.
- In the frame Details of the modules, services and sub-services (for gradebooks or reports cards) or the frame Module and service designations to be displayed (for the summaries or multi-year report cards), select Only the international designation.
To display the international designation alongside the original one, select Designation and tick With the international designation.
Fourth step: Customize the report card's rubrics
When you select the display Only the international designation, HYPERPLANNING automatically translates the fixed rubrics of the report card such as "average" or "student", it is up to you to translate the customizable rubrics.
- Make sure that the mentions (validated/not validated) have an international designation.
- Go to the display Grading > Gradebooks/Report cards/Summary >
Definition of the mock-ups.
- Select the mock-up on the left.
- On the right, click on the tab Report card header and customize:
- the report card title: if you use the tag <<Period>>, customize the grading periods in advance;
- the header used: if no international header is available, you can duplicate the default header and internationalize it;
- the name of the institution if it has an international name,
- additional mentions if present.
- Click on the tab Body of the report card and customize:
- the name of the Appraisals if needed,
- the name of the correction of averages if used.
Click on the tab Report card footer and customize:
- the formulation of decisions: if no English decision is available, you can create one;
- the titles of the signatories,
- the footer template used, if no international footer is available, you can duplicate the default footer and internationalize it.
