  • Enter the provisional population per ETM/class

To calculate your provisional requirements, you need to enter an estimate of your population for the incoming year. Depending on the information in your possession at the time of calculation, you can enter the ETM population, or the ETM population, followed by the classes (a more precise estimate, but one that requires more information).

If you have enough information to calculate provisional requirements based on class populations, please enter ETM populations in advance: as provisional classes inherit services from the ETM, you'll save time when entering the population per class.

Enter provisional population per ETM

  1. Go to the display Pre-incoming year > ETM > Services.
  2. In the list on the left, enter estimates for the incoming year based on the scale of the ETM:
    • total population per MEF (column Population, abbreviation Pop.);
    • maximum number of students per class (column Stud./Cl.) ;
  3. In the list on the right, enter the estimates for the incoming year for each subject:
    • the total population per subject (column Population);
    • the weighting (column Weighting);
    • the number of hours in a full class (column Class);
    • the number of hours in reduced population (column Reduced);
    • number of hours in half-groups (column Split);
    • the maximum population per group in reduced population (column Stud./Red.).
      If several subjects have the same name, you can distinguish them by specifying the service election mode in the EM.

Enter the provisional population per class

  1. Go to the display Pre-incoming year > Provisional classes > Services.
  2. To create the list of classes for the incoming year, you can use one of the following two methods, or a combination of both:
    •  start "from scratch" by creating all your classes manually: click on Create a provisional class, enter the name of the class, press the key Enter on your keyboard, tick the corresponding ETM and click on Validate.
    • import the list of classes for the current year, then modify them if necessary: click on the button Recover classes from the timetable at the bottom right of the screen.
  3. In the list Provisional classes, justify the population of each class: if the total population of classes in the same ETM does not correspond to the population of the ETM entered in the display Pre-incoming year > ETM > Services, the ETM population is displayed in red at the bottom left of the screen.
  4. Select a class to adjust the population, the number of full class hours, in reduced population, half groups and the weighting of each service, modify certain disciplines, deactivate certain services if necessary. This step can be conducted in multi-selection.
  5. Go to the display Pre-incoming year > Provisional needs > Projection per subject and select Provisional classes in the drop-down menu Calculation.
  6. To ensure that only one service is counted when several classes are taught together by the same teacher, align the corresponding services: select the services, right-click and then click on the option Align the hours in a full class (or Align the hours by reduced population, depending on the type of hour to be aligned).
  7. Then enter the number of classes or groups to be planned: the number of teaching hours required is automatically recalculated.
