Configure the absence motives
- Go to the menu Parameters > Absences and roll calls > Absence motives.
- Review the list and add or delete motives as required by clicking on New.
- Verify the characteristics of each motive and prioritize the configuration:
- the column Admissible (Adm): absence is considered justified by default.
- the column Settled administratively (SA): the absence is considered to be administratively settled by default,
- the column Outside of institution (OI): the student is not present in the institution due to this absence,
- the column Health (Hl): the student is absent for health reasons,
- the column Report cards (Rep. card): the absence is taken into account in the report card by default,
- the column Publish (Publ.): the absence is published on the Parents Webspace,
- the column Parents: parents can use this motive to justify an absence.

Configure the tardiness motives
- Go to the menu Parameters > Absences and roll calls > Tardiness motives.
- Review the list and add or delete motives as required by clicking on New.

Configure the management of absences, tardiness and absenteeism
The configuration of absence, tardiness and absenteeism management is carried out in the menu Parameters > ABSENCES AND ROLL CALLS > Options.
Indicate in priority:
Indicate in priority:
- the default value for report card half-days (gross 1/2 days or calculated 1/2 days),
- the mid-day reference (the time at which the second half of the day is reached),
- whether absenteeism should be measured in unsettled or unjustified absences,
- whether half-days without courses should be ignored when counting half-days of absences;
- the threshold for alerting families and reporting absenteeism to the education authority (in 1/2 days).
You can also indicate whether you want to:
- Administratively settle all absences and tardiness of students who have left the institution,
- Exclude from statistics the absences having a motive not counted in the report card,
- Authorize the entry of open absences,
- Authorize entry of absences on internship days,
- Display the list of non-taken calls in PRONOTE.

Configure the roll call sheets
Configure the roll call sheet options
The following options are common to the staff's roll call sheet (Study Hall/Library) and the teacher's roll call sheet - to modify them, go to the menu Parameters > ABSENCES AND ROLL CALLLS > Options:
- Merge the absences of successive courses
- Authorize teachers to modify absences entered by the Student Administration on the roll call sheet
- Authorize teachers to modify tardiness entered by the Student Administration on the roll call sheet
- Indicate student convocations on the roll call sheet
- Indicate the students with unsettled absences on the roll call sheet
- Modify the default duration of tardiness on roll call sheet
- Modify the default duration of Student Administration life memo display
- Show a birthday cake on roll call sheet
Configure the authorizations linked to the roll call sheet
The teacher's roll call sheet is activated by default in the Teachers Webspace and the mobile application. Authorizations linked to the teacher's roll call sheet are configured in the display Resources > Teachers > Authorization, where you can:
Similar settings must also be made for the Student Administration's roll call sheet, in the display Resources > Staff > Authorization.

The configuration of tardiness and absences on the Teachers and Student Administration Webspace is carried out when configuring the authorizations (see above).
For the other Webspaces, go to the Webspace's module:
- Internet Webspace > Parents > Parameters of the Parents Webspace
- Internet Webspace > Students > Parameters of the Students Webspace
- Internet Webspace >Teaching assistants > Parameters of the Teaching Assistants Webspace

Configure the mail for absence and tardiness
The mail and documents related to absences and tardiness are configured in the display Communication > Mail and documents > Templates.
Configure the display of absences and tardiness on the report card
- The display of tardiness and punishments on the report card is configured:
- for the report cards: in the display Report cards > Mock-ups > Specification.
- for the competence bulletin: in the display Competencies > Bulletins > Configuration of the mock-ups.
- Select the concerned mock-up, then click on the tab Footer.
- In the rubric Student Administration, tick the boxes Number of 1/2 day absences/Specify the unsettled 1/2 days/Display the missed course hours/Number of tardiness and/or Specify the unsettled tardiness.
