Default value for 1/2-day report cards
In PRONOTE, the duration of an absence is given both in gross half-days and in calculated half-days; indicate here the calculation mode to be taken into account by default for the report cards.
Whichever calculation method you choose, the value shown in column Report card (Rep. Card.) can be modified manually.
Whichever calculation method you choose, the value shown in column Report card (Rep. Card.) can be modified manually.
In gross half-days, any absence over a half-day is worth "1", regardless of its duration.
In calculated half-days, the value of an absence is calculated in proportion to its duration.
The transition from one half-day to another is determined by the half-day reference (see below).
Half-day reference
The half-day reference influences the calculation of half-day absences (see above), as well as the entry of half-day suspensions.
Measure absenteeism by counting unsettled/unjustified absences
Indicate here the criterion to be taken into account when counting absences in the display Absences > Dashboard > Absence report chart.
An absence is motivated when the motive has been indicated by the legal guardians; it is justified if its motive is considered admissible by Article L131-8 of the Education Code; it is settled administratively if a written document has been submitted to the Student Administration. An absence may therefore be settled administratively but considered unjustified. Conversely, an absence may be justified but not settled (if those responsible are slow to provide proof).
Do not take into account half-days without courses
When this box is ticked, working half-days with no courses are ignored - non-working half-days, such as Wednesday afternoons (hatched half-days), are never taken into account, whatever your configuration.
When the box Settle the absences and tardiness administratively for students departed from the institution is ticked, all absences of students leaving the institution are automatically settled administratively as soon as the departure is entered (regardless of the planned date of departure).
This configuration can be applied after the departures have been entered; in this case, a confirmation window appears.
Threshold for parental alerts/Threshold for reporting to the Regional Education Authority
These thresholds are shown in the display Absences > Dashboard > Absence report chart.
Exclude from the statistics absences having a motive not counted in the report card
If you tick the box Exclude the absence statistics having a motive that is not counted in the report card, only absences with a motive counted in the report card (column Rep. card ticked in Parameters > Absences and roll calls > Absence motives) are taken into account in the tab Statistics > Absences.
Authorize the entry of open absences
Open absences are useful when a student's return date is uncertain. Once open, the absence increments over time. When the student returns, the absence must be closed manually to stop the incrementation.
If you inadvertently open an absence, you can cancel it by moving your cursor in the opposite direction, with the same motive selected.
Open absences can only be entered if the student has no absences entered in the future, and cannot be entered in advance.
Absences entered by teachers on the roll call sheet with follow-up cannot be opened. On the other hand, this option is available on the roll call sheet without follow-up, after the activation of the authorization Roll call sheet (without student follow-ups) > Authorize the entry of open absences in the display Resources > Teachers > Authorization profiles.
Authorize the entry of absences on internship days
Tick the box Authorize the entry of absences for the days of internships if your institution is responsible for entering absences and tardiness during internship periods
For more information on entering absences and tardiness during internship periods, please consult the dedicated support.
Display the list of non-taken roll calls in PRONOTE
By ticking the box Display the list of non-taken roll calls in PRONOTE, you activate display Absences > Entry > Summary of courses without roll calls.
