  • Create specialization programs for estimating provisional requirements

If your institution is a high school, it is imperative to take into account the specialization studies in the calculation of provisional needs. As this is an estimate, often made before the validation of the final wishes, we advise you to create the programs with the command Generate all the possible programs. You will be able to provide more precise information about the population at a later period of the year.

Step 1: Enter the institution's offer

  1. Go to the display Pre-incoming year > Subject > List and verify that all specialization subjects are included; complete the list if necessary.
  2. Go to the display Pre-incoming year > Specializations and needs > List of the proposed offers.
  3. In the panel Specialization offers, click on Create an offer for the concerned ETM; enter the designation of the offer (for example, "11th grade Specializations"), then validate with the key Enter of your keyboard: a window List of ETM appears.
  4. Tick the ETM affiliated to this offer and click Validate.
  5. In the panel Proposed specialization studies, click on Define the specialization studies: a window Selection of the subjects appears.
  6. Tick the subjects proposed by the institution, then click on Validate.

To quickly find the subjects in the list, tick the box Only the specialization studies: the subjects that appear are those whose column Specialization has been ticked in the display Pre-incoming year > Subjects > List.

Step 2: Generate the programs

  1. Go to the display Pre-incoming year > Specializations and needs > List of the proposed offers.
  2. In the panel Proposed program, click on Create a program, the select the option Generate all the possible programs.
  3. In the panel Proposed program, modify the provisional population per program in the column Entered population.
  4. In the panel Proposed specialization studies, then define the minimum and maximum population of each group for each subject: EDT automatically calculates the number of groups required, taking into account the maximum and minimum numbers entered.

If the number of planned groups does not suit you, click on the icon in the form of a magic wand: in the pop-up window, you can set the number of groups yourself and then define the minimum and maximum group numbers per group.
