  • Create and configure a parent/teacher meeting session

The meetings (parent/teacher meetings, specialization and sector presentation days, etc.) are planned at any time of the year in EDT. If you have the EDT-PRONOTE connection rights, , participants enter their wishes and constraints from their Webspace.
In this configuration, you will configure the "information sheets" that will be available for the participants to prepare meetings. If you wish to collect participants' wishes online, it is essential to manage parent/teacher meetings from a Client EDT connected to your PRONOTE base.

1. Create a meeting session

  1. Go to the display Parents/Teachers meetings > Meeting sessions > Breaks.
  2. Click on Create a session: a window appears.
  3. Enter the session name, date, time slot and the default duration for each meeting.
  4. In the tab Generation of the meetings, specify the teachers for whom EDT must propose a meeting. To optimize the number of meetings, you can generate only one when a teacher teaches several subjects or when there is co-teaching.
  5. Indicate the criteria taken into account in generating the meetings proposed to parents and teachers/staff:
    • tick Session reserved for homeroom teachers to easily organize orientation meetings;
    • tick Long-term-substitutions so that substitute teachers are taken into account;
    • tick The adjustments and the exceptional courses to also take into account the courses from the tab Daily management and absences;
    • tick The courses with a variable population so that personalized accompaniment courses are taken into account;
    • tick The staff members of the pedagogical team to generate meetings with administrative staff previously added to the teaching team;
    • select Generate one meeting per subject if you want a teacher who teaches several subjects to meet the parents several times, or possibly extend the time of his meetings;
    • tick Take into account the affiliated students if meetings must be generated between teachers and parents of ULIS students affiliated to the class.

    You can differentiate the duration of the meetings for the homeroom teachers and the tutors of certain students in the frame Particular case.
  6. In the tab Desiderata, define the list of proposed responses for each meeting: click on the button Configure the answers and captions of the desiderata, tick/un-tick the proposed responses in the pop-up window, then click on the button Close.

    Advice
    By default, potential meetings are optional for teachers/staff and refused for the guardians. Keep this configuration: no meeting will be created until the parents have expressed their wish to meet, this helps avoid ghost meetings. Optionally, limit the number of possible meetings per participant by double-clicking in the table Limitation of choices.
  7. In the tab Publication, set the publication dates for entering desiderata and publishing the meeting schedule on the PRONOTE Webspaces (if you do not use PRONOTE, this tab is deactivated).

To enable participants to access their desiderata and planning from their Webspace, you will also need to publish the concerned rubrics from PRONOTE
  1. Click on the button Create.

2. Add a break

You can enter breaks applicable for all the participants (for example, in the middle of the session to maintain room for delays) and preserve a time lapse between two meetings (for example, the time it takes for parents to change rooms).
  1. Go to the display Parents/Teachers meetings > Meeting sessions > Breaks.
  2. Select a meeting session: a grid appears on the right.
  3. Click and drag on the concerned slot to set a break: it appears in blue.

  4. To set a time interval between meetings, select the required time from the lower drop-down menus (parents and/or teachers).

3. Add participants

  1. Go to the display Parents/Teachers meetings > Meeting sessions > Breaks.
  2. Select the created session, then click on Add a class to the session: a window appears.
  3. Select a class, then click on Validate.

  4. Go to the displays Parents/Teachers meetings > Guardians > Desiderata and Parents/Teachers meetings > Teachers > Desiderata o verify the list of meetings.
