Enter the preferable ranges for teacher substitutions
To filter the suggested substitutes when organizing a replacement (periods, time slots, or subjects), you must define substitution options. EDT allows you to prioritize the substitution ranges preferred by teachers. You can customize these priorities in advance.

1. Customize preferred replacement ranges
- Click on the button Display parameters
. - In the pop-up window, double-click in the column Designation to customize it.
2. Enter the preferable ranges for teacher substitutions
- Go to the display Daily management and absences > Teachers >
Privileged time frames for substitution. - Tick the potential replacement teachers in the column PS; if necessary, click in the column Lev. R to modify the relevant levels.
- To define preferred time slots, select a potential substitute, then select the concerned weeks in the week slider.
- Select a priority level, then draw the corresponding slot by clicking and dragging the paintbrush on the timetable.
The icons show you that the teacher is already occupied in the slot; the numbers show you the number of potential substitutes already entered for each time slot, and in order of priority. - Click on Assign to allocate preferred replacement subjects.
These configurations allow you to filter the list of potential replacements in the display Daily management and absences > Teachers > Entry of absences and replacements, or in Daily management and absences > Teachers >
Assign the replacements in the same place.
