  • Modify the teachers' timetable week by week

Once the academic year has begun, you can modify the timetable week by week. If modifications are made from a Client EDT connected to the PRONOTE database, student and teacher timetables are updated in real time.
To change a course's place until the end of the year, go the display Timetable > Teachers > Timetable of the week by verifying the date when modifications are taken into account in the drop-down menu above the grid.

1. Move a course to the same week

  1. Go to the display Daily management and absences > Teachers >  Timetable of the week, then select a resource from the list on the left to display its timetable.
  2. Select the concerned week on the slider at the top right.

  3. Double-click on the course to be moved to enter diagnosis mode. EDT displays in white the available slots and in blue the slots on which you can place the course, ignoring certain pedagogical constraints.
  4. Click and drag the green frame onto a free slot.

  5. Double-click inside to confirm the move: the course is displayed with the label Displaced course.

Even if this is done, the Short Term Replacements-STR (RCD) will be properly exported. The beginning course was modified and there is indeed a link between the absence from the course and the replacement.

2. Move a course to another week

  1. Select the teacher, then the week and the concerned course: the course form appears.
  2. You can ignore resources from the course form to increase the number of possible places. To do this, activate the cursor of the concerned resource.

  3. Click on the icon déplacer sur une autre semaine at the bottom of the course form: a window opens.

  4. Select the week you want to postpone the course to, then click on Search for free slots:
    • if a free slot exists, a white stripe appears on the timetable.

    • if no white stripe appears, you can broaden the search by reducing the capacity of the room being searched for, ignoring certain constraints (unavailability, holidays, etc.) and/or searching on another week.
  5. Move the green frame to the free slot, select a room from the list on the right, and then click on Move the course.
  6. Edit the labels for both the original course and the rescheduled course:
    • Label Postponed on the original course
    • Label Defer on the postponed course

Advise
You can also inform the students and their guardians by sending a notification, an SMS, etc., from the course form of the moved course.

  • 3. Cancel one or more courses

Once the academic year has started, you can change the timetable week by week. If the changes are made from a Client EDT connected to the PRONOTE base, the timetable of students and teachers are updated in real time.
  1. Under all displays Timetable of the week, select a resource in the list on the left to display their timetable.
  2. Select the course on the grid, right-click, and then select Cancel > Cancel the selected class meetings: a label Canceled course appears on the course.

When you cancel a class on the timetable of the week, the teacher and classroom become available and students can be placed in Study Hall.

  • 4. Create a meeting or event

    1. Go to the display Daily management and absences > Teachers >  Timetable of the week.
    2. Select the concerned week in the week slider.
    3. Draft the course directly on the grid, then double-click to create the course: a confirmation window appears, click on Yes.
    4. The course appears with the label Exceptional; if necessary, modify its subject and resources from the course form.
  • 5. Assign missions within the framework of PACTE teacher program (Pacte enseignant)

The assignment of a PACTE teacher program is carried out directly from the course form, in the module Timetable in the case of an annual course, but you can also do it in the module Daily management and absences in the case of an exceptional course. If the assignment is a short-term replacement-STR (RCD), you assign it when setting up the replacement.
  1. Go to the display Daily management and absences > Teachers >  Timetable of the week.
  2. Select the concerned teacher then the week in the week slider.
  3. Select an already existing course, or draft a course on the grid: the form for this course appears.

  4. Eventually change the subject of the course (by default, it is the teacher's preferential subject that appears).

  5. Move your mouse over the course form, next to the teacher's name, then click on the button  which appears: a window Additional Missions opens.

Le bouton  est actif uniquement si vous avez activé les missions et attribué une ou des missions à l'enseignant concerné.
  6. In this window, select the mission to be assigned: the icon  appears on the course and the course form.

To monitor the progress of assignment of the missions, go to the display Daily management and absences > Statistics >  Missions.

    • 6. Detaching students from their class for one or more courses

You can detach a student from his class on a time slot to assign him/her to another activity. This feature allows you to easily manage the timetable of students with special educational needs, but also to occasionally modify student employment by assigning them to a catch-up assignment, a particular class meeting, etc. The course to which a detached student is added becomes priority over the timetable of the class. So you can easily create classes for students with special educational needs at a later stage, after the timetable of the entire class.
    1. Add the student to the priority course: go to the timetable of the teacher who is teaching the course you want to add the student to, and add the student from the course form in the rubric Detached students.

    2. In PRONOTE, the student sees only the courses he attends on his timetable; the other students in the class keep an unchanged timetable. The student is visible on the roll call sheet for the priority course without being counted as absent from the course to which he/she is detached.
    3. By default, when a course is cancelled, detached students are not automatically reassigned to the course of their class. If you want them to be, tick the corresponding option in the menu Parameters > Daily management > Placement.
