How are the absence motives taken into account in the ministerial reporting of Short Term ReplacementSTR (RCD)?
Teacher absences
Absences for the motives Administrative or Chaperone are taken into account for the calculation of student rates, but not for teacher absence rates.
Absences for the motive Personal are taken into account in all calculations.
Class absences
Only motives with no teacher status or with the status Chaperone can have a status Class.
Customize the absence motives
In EDT, all motives (personal or otherwise) are associated with a STSweb code. Motives considered "personal" for Short Term Replacement STR (RCD) feedback have a code P01, P02, P03, P98 or P99. You cannot change the default absence motive code, but you can create custom motives and assign them the code of your choice.
- Go to the window Parameters > General > Absences.
- Click on New, then enter a designation.
- Assign a status to the motive (it's not this status that is taken into account when reporting STR (RCD), but the associated code).
- Double-click in the column Code to modify the STSweb code.
Motives with the code P04 (Social movement) are the only "personal" motives for which absences are not reported.
