I want to add a student to a group but he/she doesn't appear in the list of available students.
If there is an actual or potential timetable incompatibility, EDT refuses to add the student to the group. In some windows, a button Diagnosis for the unavailable students displays a window in which EDT indicates, among other things, problematic courses.
Here are a few methodological tips to help you understand what is blocking the process and make the necessary corrections:
Here are a few methodological tips to help you understand what is blocking the process and make the necessary corrections:
- Verify that the student is not already in a group linked to the group you wish to add him/her to. If this is the case and the two groups are not from the same partition, you can remove the link in the display Timetable > Classes >
Links between parts or from the course form.
- Verify that the student does not already have a class in one of the slots occupied by the group. Placing two timetables side by side makes it easy to see any incompatibilities.
- If you don't find any incompatibilities in the annual timetable, verify in the display Daily management and absences > Students >
Timetable of the week the incompatibility is not due to an exceptional course or different timetables in the first few weeks of the year, for example - in which case, you can add the student to the group by entering an entry date after the blocking courses.
In the diagnosis window for unavailable students in the display Timetable > Groups >
Students, conduct an extraction of unavailable students or problematic courses.
