  • Place a course manually

For optimal timetables, it's best to let EDT place as many courses as possible and avoid manual placements. Manual placement is reserved for courses with only one possible place (column No. Places in the list of courses). You may nevertheless find it useful to make minor modifications to timetables generated by EDT.
  1. Go to the display Timetable > Course > Timetable or General schedule.
  2. Select the unplaced course in the list on the left: a green frame appears on the grid; it is the matrix of the course, which materializes its duration.
  3. Move the green frame to the wanted position on the grid. Free places are indicated in white (the white stripes don't have to cover the whole course; as long as the top of the green frame is on a white stripe, the place is available). To find out more about the grid caption, please refer to course diagnostics.
  4. Double-click inside the frame to confirm the placement.

  5. Lock the course in its place to prevent it from being moved during automatic placement.
