  Can I consult and modify a base without activating it?

From a Client EDT, you can consult a base without activating it, but you cannot modify it.

If a simple consultation is all you need, activate the command File > Consult a base saved on this workstation. In the pop-up window, indicate the type of database in the bottom right-hand corner (*.edt for an EDT database, *.not for a PRONOTE database, *.zip for an archive), then select the database you want to consult. You can then return to the database in use via the command File > Quit the consultation of the local base.

If this is not the case, modify the database with EDT Single-user after installing the trial version.
