How to consult a safeguard or archive without putting it into service
To open a safeguard or an archive, go to the menu File > List of safeguards and archives; In the pop-up window, select a safeguard and click on the button Consult.
You can then return to the base in service with the command File > Quit the safeguard/archive consultation, or replace the base in use with the consulted safeguard/archive, using the command File > Activate the consulted safeguard/ archive. EDT then suggests you rename the database (if you don't, it will overwrite the current one). All users are disconnected, then automatically reconnected to the new base.
