What's the point of allocating a preferential room to classes?

If a class has been allocated a preferential room, it is automatically allocated to all lessons in the class as soon as they are created.

You can also assign preferential rooms in the display Timetable > Lesson > List: select the concerned lessons, right-click, then activate the command Modify > Allocate the classes' preferential room to the selected lessons.
