Is Wednesday afternoon considered a free half-day?

By default, Wednesday afternoon is considered a non-working half-day, and is not counted as a free half-day.
On the other hand, if a teacher has no classes on Wednesday morning, EDT counts Wednesday as a free day. You can modify this default configuration in the menu Parameters > Institution > Half-board, recesses and times: tick the box under Wednesday to ignore it when calculating free days.
