What's the point of assigning a teachers' preferential room?

If a teacher's preferential room is entered, it is assigned by default to courses created in the display Timetable > Course > List. You can also allocate it from the same display by selecting the concerned courses and then using the right-click (command Modify > Allocate the teachers' preferential room to the selected courses).
