When should a lesson be placed manually?

Manual placement should only be used in certain circumstances, such as:

• if there is only one possible slot for the concerned lesson,
• if you need to modify the timetable on an occasional basis (notably for the creation of occasional lessons in weekly timetables, in Daily management and absences).
• if the lessons are taking place during a period of unavailability for one of your resources. In this case, it is imperative to lock this type of lesson in the same place so that the software does not place it outside periods of unavailability when optimizing timetables.
