When should a course be placed manually?

Manual placement should only be used in certain circumstances, such as:

• if there is only one possible slot for the concerned course,
• if you need to modify the timetable on an occasional basis (notably for the creation of occasional courses in weekly timetables, in Daily management and absences).
• if the courses are taking place during a period of unavailability for one of your resources. In this case, it is imperative to lock this type of course in the same place so that the software does not place it outside periods of unavailability when optimizing timetables.
