Place a lesson manually
For optimal timetables, it's best to let EDT place as many lessons as possible and avoid manual placements. Manual placement is reserved for lessons with only one possible place (column No. Places in the list of lessons). You may nevertheless find it useful to make minor modifications to timetables generated by EDT.
- Go to the display Timetable > Lesson >
Timetable or 
General schedule. - Select the unplaced lesson in the list on the left: a green frame appears on the grid; it is the matrix of the lesson, which materializes its duration.
- Move the green frame to the wanted position on the grid. Free places are indicated in white (the white stripes don't have to cover the whole lesson; as long as the top of the green frame is on a white stripe, the place is available). To find out more about the grid caption, please refer to lesson diagnostics.
- Double-click inside the frame to confirm the placement.
- Lock the lesson in its place
to prevent it from being moved during automatic placement.
