How can I influence the automatic placement?

During the placement, EDT aims to leave "large slots" free (days or half-days) and to avoid gaps between courses. The configuration ensures that none of these criteria takes precedence, which suits the majority of the institutions.

If you feel that one criterion is much more important than the others, you can change the configuration for the criteria taken into account during placement from the menu Calculation > Placemen > Automatic placement of courses, rubric Sequencing of the criteria, modify the order of the proposed criteria and/or remove certain criteria.

Then take the time to do simulations and don't modify too many criteria at the same time: you won't know which one influenced the results.
