  • Create a simple lesson

In EDT, we use the term "single lesson" to designate a lesson that includes a teacher, the entire class and a room. It is an independent lesson, not linked to any other lesson in the grid, either by superposition or succession.
All the resources you want to add to the lesson (subject, teacher, class, room) must have already been created in their respective lists. What to do if I don't yet know the teacher or the room?
  1. Go to the display Timetable > Lesson > List.
  2. In the menu Edit, choose New lesson or use the shortcut Ctrl + N.

  3. In the pop-up window, enter the period, duration and frequency of the lesson.
  4. If you know beforehand that the lesson will not take place in certain slots, enter the unavailability in the grid on the right. These are in addition to the resources. You can also indicate a placement preference by entering wishes.
  5. Depending on the features you've activated, EDT may ask you to fill in other fields (site, compliance with recess, etc.). You can always enter these constraints later, after lesson creation.
