Modify a class's timetable on a week-by-week basis
Once the school year has begun, you can modify the timetable on a week-by-week basis. If changes are made from an EDT Client connected to the PRONOTE base, student and teacher timetables are updated in real time.
To move a course for the remainder of the year, do so from the display Timetable > Class > Timetable by verifying the date when the changes were applied in the drop-down menu above the grid.

1. Move a course within the same week
- Go to the display Daily management and absences> Class >
Weekly timetable, then select a class from the list on the left to display its timetable. - Select the concerned week from the slider at the top right.
-
Double-click the course you want to move to enter diagnostic mode. EDT displays available time slots in white and time slots where you can place the course while ignoring certain academic constraints in blue.
-
Click and drag the green frame to an available time slot.
- Double-click inside to confirm the move: the course will appear with the label Moved course.
Even if you proceed this way, the STR (RCD) will be exported correctly. It is the starting course that has been modified, and there is indeed a connection between the absence in the course and the replacement.
2. Move a course to another week
- Select the class, then the week and the course in question: the course form will appear.
You can ignore resources in the course form to increase the number of available places. To do this, activate the cursor of the concerned resource.- Click on the icon
at the bottom of the course form: a window opens. - Select the week to which you want to reschedule the course, then click on Search for free slots:
- If there is an open slot, a white band will appear on the timetable.
- lowering the capacity of the room you're looking for, ignoring certain constraints (unavailability, holidays, etc.), and/or searching for another week.
- If there is an open slot, a white band will appear on the timetable.
- Drag the green frame to the available slot, select a room from the list on the right, and then click on Move the course.

5. Assign missions within the framework of the PACTE teacher program
Mission assignments for the PACTE teacher program are made directly from the concerned course form in the module Timetable in the case of an annual course, but you can also do it in the module Daily management and absences in the case of a one-off course. If the assignment is a short-term replacement STR (RCD), however, you assign it when arranging the replacement.
- Select the teacher and then the concerned week from the week slider.
- Select an existing course, or draw a course on the grid: the course form appears.
- If necessary, change the course subject (by default, the teacher's preferred subject is displayed).
- Hover your mouse over the course form, near the teacher's name, and then click on the button
that appears: a window Additional Missions opens.
The button
is active only if you have activated the missions and assigned one or more missions to the teacher in question. - In this window, select the mission to be assigned: the icon
appears on the course and the course form.
To follow the progress of mission assignments, go to the display Daily management and absences > Statistics >
Missions.

6. Detach the students from their class for one or more courses
You can detach a student from their class during a specific time slot to assign them to another activity. This feature makes it easy to manage the timetable of students with special educational needs, as well as to make temporary changes to students' timetables by assigning them to catch-up test, a special class meeting, etc. The course to which a detached student is added takes precedence over the class timetable. You can therefore easily create courses for students with special educational needs at a later stage, after the timetables for entire classes have been set.- Add the student to the priority class: go to the timetable of the teacher who teaches the course you want to add the student to, and add the student from the course form under the rubric Detached students.
- In PRONOTE, the student only sees the course they are attending on their timetable; the other students in the class retain their original timetable. The student appears on the roll call sheet for the priority course without being counted as absent from the course they have been detached from.
- By default, when a class is canceled, students who have been assigned to it are not automatically reassigned to their regular class. If you want them to be reassigned, tick the corresponding option in the menu Parameters > Daily management > Placement.
