  • Modify a class's timetable on a week-by-week basis

Once the school year has begun, you can modify the timetable on a week-by-week basis. If changes are made from a Client EDT connected to the PRONOTE base, student and teacher timetables are updated in real time.
To move a lesson for the remainder of the year, do so from the display Timetable > Class > Timetable by verifying the date when the changes were applied in the drop-down menu above the grid.

1. Move a lesson within the same week

  1. Go to the display Daily management and absences> Class > Weekly timetable, then select a class from the list on the left to display its timetable.
  2. Select the concerned week from the slider at the top right.
  3. Double-click the lesson you want to move to enter diagnostic mode. EDT displays available time slots in white and time slots where you can place the lesson while ignoring certain academic constraints in blue.
  4. Click and drag the green frame to an available time slot.
  5. Double-click inside to confirm the move: the lesson will appear with the label Moved lesson.

Even if you proceed this way, the STR (RCD) will be exported correctly. It is the starting lesson that has been modified, and there is indeed a connection between the absence in the lesson and the replacement.

2. Move a lesson to another week

  1. Select the class, then the week and the lesson in question: the lesson form will appear.
  2. You can ignore resources in the lesson form to increase the number of available places. To do this, activate the cursor of the concerned resource.

  3. Click on the icon déplacer sur une autre semaine at the bottom of the lesson form: a window opens.

  4. Select the week to which you want to reschedule the lesson, then click on Search for free slots:
    • if there is an open slot, a white band will appear on the timetable.

    • if no white band appears, you can broaden the search by reducing the capacity of the room being searched for, ignoring certain constraints (unavailability, holidays, etc.) and/or searching on another week.
  5. Drag the green frame to the available slot, select a room from the list on the right, and then click on Move the lesson.
  6. Edit the labels for the original lesson and the rescheduled lesson:
    • Label Postponed for the original lesson.
    • Label Defer on the postponed lesson.

Advice
You can also notify students and their guardians by sending a notification, SMS, etc., from the lesson form for the moved lesson.

  • 3. Cancel one or more lessons

Once the school year has begun, you can modify the timetable on a week-by-week basis. If changes are made using a Client EDT connected to the PRONOTE base, student and teacher timetables are updated in real time.
  1. Select a class from the list on the left to view its timetable.
  2. Select the lesson from the grid, right-click, then select Cancel > Cancel the selected class meeting: a label Canceled lesson appears on the lesson.

When you cancel a lesson on the timetable of the week, the teacher and classroom become available, and students can be assigned to Study Hall.

4. Create a meeting or an event

    1. Go to the display Daily management and absences> Class > Weekly timetable.
    2. Select the concerned week from the week bar.
    3. Draw the lesson directly on the grid, then double-click to create it: a confirmation window will appear; click on Yes.
    4. The lesson is displayed with the label Exceptional; If necessary, modify the subject and resources in the lesson form.
  • 5. Assign missions within the framework of the PACTE teacher program

Mission assignments for the PACTE teacher program are made directly from the concerned lesson form in the module Timetable in the case of an annual lesson, but you can also do it in the module Daily management and absences in the case of a one-off lesson. If the assignment is a short-term replacement STR (RCD), however, you assign it when arranging the replacement.
  1. Select the teacher and then the concerned week from the week slider.
  2. Select an existing lesson, or draw a lesson on the grid: the lesson form appears.

  3. If necessary, change the lesson subject (by default, the teacher's preferred subject is displayed).

  4. Hover your mouse over the lesson form, near the teacher's name, and then click on the button  that appears: a window Additional Missions opens.

The button  is active only if you have activated the missions and assigned one or more missions to the teacher in question.
  5. In this window, select the mission to be assigned: the icon  appears on the lesson and the lesson form.

To follow the progress of mission assignments, go to the display Daily management and absences > Statistics >  Missions.

    • 6. Detach the students from their class for one or more lessons

You can detach a student from their class during a specific time slot to assign them to another activity. This feature makes it easy to manage the timetable of students with special educational needs, as well as to make temporary changes to students' timetables by assigning them to catch-up test, a special class meeting, etc. The lesson to which a detached student is added takes precedence over the class timetable. You can therefore easily create lessons for students with special educational needs at a later stage, after the timetables for entire classes have been set.
    1. Add the student to the priority class: go to the timetable of the teacher who teaches the lesson you want to add the student to, and add the student from the lesson form under the rubric Detached students.

    2. In PRONOTE, the student only sees the lesson they are attending on their timetable; the other students in the class retain their original timetable. The student appears on the roll call sheet for the priority lesson without being counted as absent from the lesson they have been detached from.
    3. By default, when a class is canceled, students who have been assigned to it are not automatically reassigned to their regular class. If you want them to be reassigned, tick the corresponding option in the menu Parameters > Daily management > Placement.
