How can I operate the Server EDT from another workstation?
To operate the Server EDT from a computer other than the one on which it is installed, you need to use the remote administration application.
- Download the application Remote Administration Server from the Index Education website and install it on the workstation you wish to administer remotely.
- In the application Server, panel Remote Administration, tick Authorize Remote Administration.
- Click on Add a block of IP addresses then enter the address of the workstation on which the remote administration application is installed.
If you wish to administer remotely from more than one workstation, all workstation addresses must be authorized. If these addresses follow each other, leave By block ticked and choose the appropriate mask. If addresses are not consecutive, tick By range and enter the relevant address ranges. - Configure the Remote Administration application: in the panel List of servers, enter a name for the Server, then enter the IP address and port number shown in the Publication parameters of the application.
