  • What's the point of alternations?

Alternations allow you to modify the way in which the duration of a course is taken into account when calculating services. The duration of the course is multiplied by the numerator value (number of weeks it takes place in the year), then divided by the number of weeks in the year. These values are essential for transferring services to STSWEB.

By default:

  • a year-round weekly course with an alternation of 36/36;
  • a weekly course that takes place for one trimester only has an alternation of 12/36;
  • a fortnightly course that takes place all year round has an alternation of 18/36, etc.

Modify the alternation of a course

  1. Go to the tab Timetable > Course > Aff_Liste.jpg List.
  2. Double-click in the column Alternation (Alt.).
  3. In the pop-up window, select either:

    • the alternation of your choice,
    • an alternation calculated according to the actual weeks of the course,
    • an automatic alternation calculated according to the frequency and period of the course (without taking into account the actual weeks of the course).

      You can also proceed with multi-selection. Select the concerned courses, right-click and choose Alternation.

    Modify the alternation for one of the co-teachers only

    1. Go to the tab Timetable > Teachers > Aff_Cours.jpg Course.
    2. Modify the course alternation directly in the list of teachers' courses.

    Modify the default alternation

    1. Go to the menu Parameters > general > Alternation.
    2. Double-click in the column Numerator to modify the number of weeks, or click on the creation line to add a new alternation.
