Trigger a SPC - Safety Plan and Coordination (PPMS) alert
You can send or receive SPC (PPMS) (Safety Plan and Coordination) alerts when the Client EDT is connected to a PRONOTE base.
Step No. 1: Define the authorizations
Only authorized administrative users and teachers can trigger an alert.
Authorize the administrative users
- Go to the menu File > User administration.
- In the pop-up window, click on the display
User groups and the authorizations. - Dans la liste à gauche, sélectionnez le groupe d'utilisateurs concerné, puis sélectionnez la catégorie EDT > Communication.
- Tick Initiate the alerts.
Authorizer the teachers
- Go to the display Timetable > Teachers >
Teachers' authorization profile. - In the list on the left, select the concerned profile.
- In the category Communication, tick Initiate the alerts.
Step No. 2: Initiate an alert
- Click on the button
in the tool bar. - From the drop-down menu, select the alert template.
Note
SPC (PPMS) alert templates can only be configured from a Client PRONOTE. For more information, refer to the PRONOTE online help. - If your institution is scheduled to conduct a fire drill, tick the box Indicate that it is a drill before initiating your alert.
- Customize the text if necessary.
- By default, all teachers and staff are recipients, but you can modify the list by clicking on the button
. - Click on the button Send.
- In the next window, you can:
- either end the alert;
- or send a second message to the recipients.
- The SPC alert message appears as a notification on recipients' screens.
Step No. 3: End the alert
Only the initiator of the alert can proceed manually to its closure.
As long as the alert has not been closed, the button
remains accessible in the menu bar. Click this button, then, in the pop-up window, click on the button End the alert.
Step No. 4: Consult the list of alerts launched during the year
All SPC alerts sent or received are visible in the display Communication > Discussions >
Discussions. In the left menu, click or Alert.
