  • Create an event in the agenda

 With a Client EDT connected to an EDT base, you can add events to the agenda of other users of Client EDT (teachers and staff).
With a Client EDT connected to a PRONOTE base, you can add events to the agendas of everyone in the institution - including students, guardians and teaching assistants.

Step No. 1: Specify the characteristics of the event

  1. Go to the display Communication > Agenda > Agenda.
  2. To select a display mode (day, week, month or year), click on the icons at the top left of the agenda.
  3. To add an event to the grid, click/drag your cursor to the wanted location: a window New event opens.



  4. Enter the title and commentary of the event in the text zones provided.
  5.  Double-click in the field Location to specify where the event will take place.
  6. You can use color coding to sort events by category: select one of the default categories, or create your own.



  7. If necessary, modify the date and the beginning/ending time of the event by double-clicking on the corresponding calendars. You can also:

Step No. 2: Share the event

The option Published as of is selected by default. Unless you change this setting, the event will be published in the agenda of all users in this mode Administration (ADMIN). 

It is now possible to schedule the publication date of an event. 



You can also:

  • Publish the event to your agenda only: select the option Private, then click on Validate. The event will not be visible to users in the mode Administration.
  • Add recipients associated with classes/groups: designate the classes involved in the event by clicking on the button , then indicate the user categories by ticking the corresponding boxes.
  • Add personal recipients: click on the tab Recipients on an individual basis. Click on the buttons , then tick the names in the pop-up window.
  • Add recipients associated with a mailing list: click on the button , then, in the pop-up window, select the mailing list you want to use.
  • Publish the event on the institution's page/on partner screens: if the Client EDT is connected to a PRONOTE base, you can share the event on the institution's page or on partner screens by ticking the corresponding box.

Step No. 3 (optional): schedule the sending of a reminder

If you have subscribed to the SMS service,  you can schedule the sending of a reminder (immediate and/or deferred).

  1. In the frame Reminder by SMS, tick:
    • Send an SMS reminder for the event > Immediately;
    • and/or (x) day(s) before, by specifying the number of days before the target date.
  2. Tick the concerned recipients.

    Note
    The number in the column No. rcpt. corresponds, for example, to the number of guardians selected above. Depending on the parameters set by your administrator, guardians will either each receive a SMS or a single SMS per household. If no cellphone number has been entered in the base, the guardian in question is not included in the count.
  3. Click on Preview to view the list of sent SMS, and make sure that only one SMS is sent per recipient (if your SMS exceeds 160 characters, your institution will be charged for two or more SMS).

All you have to do now is click the on the button Validate to create your event.

Step No. 4: Consult the events

If users in ADMIN mode have the possibility to view all events, they can still hide all those that do not concern them directly by ticking the option Only my events.

It is possible to filter the displayed events according to their category.
