How do I manage several institutions in the same database?
You can manage up to three institutions in the same EDT database. Each institution then has its own tab in the menu Parameters > Institution > Identity; in the class list, the column Institution shows to which institution the class belongs.
- In STSWEB, select the year to be processed, click on Exports, then on Timetable and save the sts_emp_RNE-of-your-institution.xml file for the first institution. Then repeat the operation for the second institution.
- Import data from the first institution when creating the database, as shown here (EDT Single-user) or here (EDT Network).
- In this database, go to the menu Imports/Exports > STSWEB > Import the data from another institution: a window Choice of data to import appears.
- Tick the data to be imported, validate, then select the STSWEB file for the second institution: this takes you into EXCLUSIVE USAGE mode. Don't forget to quit this mode once you've finished importing the data.
