Create a pedagogical forums
The pedagogical forums help students learn to work together. Forum topics are defined by a teacher moderator. If you are authorized, you can also define topics for the forum, and/or perform the moderation tasks.
- Go to the display Homework notebook > Pedagogical forums.
- Click on the button New: a window Create a forum appears.
- Designate participants and a moderator - as the forum creator, you are necessarily the moderator, but you can designate other users to assist you.
Guardians and teaching assistants cannot take part in the forum, but they can keep an eye on its progress if you tick the box Forum visible by the guardians and teaching assistants of the participating students. Caution, for the forums to be visible, the PRONOTE base administrator must also have activated the display. Homework notebook > Pedagogical forums for the Parents and Teaching assistants Webspaces. - Enter a title for your forum, and give it a subject and/or theme.
- Add a description of the forum - in particular, you can use this opportunity to explain how it works and the rules of good conduct.
- In the rubric Moderation, define a moderation mode: either Before publication, or After publication.
With the option Before publication, comments that have no place in the forum will be seen only by the moderators; with After publication, students will see all comments until the moderator intervenes.
The option Before publication is more secure and the moderator's action more discreet. However, exchanges between students will be less fluid. - In the rubric Opening hours, you can decide to close the forum for a given period: tick the box Student participation only, then set the forum opening times.
