Support PRONOTE-
We have not chosen PRONOTE in hosted mode: what is the purpose of the other applications (Relay, Remote Administration...)?
The Relay is an optional application that provides enhanced security when teachers and staff use the Client outside the institution, avoiding the need to connect directly to the Server. Using the Relay only makes sense if it is installed on a machine other than the Server PRONOTE.
If the Server PRONOTE, Server PRONOTE.net or Relay are installed on machines that are difficult to access, you can download and install the remote administration applications.

Installation of the Relay
- Download and install Relay from the software download page.
- Connect the Relay to the Server: in the Relay, panel Choice of server, enter the IP address and TCP port shown in panel Publication parameters of the Server, then click on Connect.
- Connect the Clients to the Relay: when the Client is launched, click on the button Add the address of a new server, then enter the IP address and TCP port shown in panel Publication parameters of the Relay (and not of the Server, as is the case when the Relay is not in use).
Installation of a remote administration application
- On the workstation from which you wish to administer remotely, download and install the application you need (SERVER Administration, RELAY Administration, .NET Administration) from the software download page.
- In the corresponding application (SERVER, RELAY, .NET), click on the panel Remote Administration and tick Authorize Remote Administration.
- Verify that the port is open, and change it if it is being used by another application.
- Enter the address of the workstation on which the remote administration application is installed.
If you wish to administer remotely from several workstations, the addresses of these workstations must all be authorized. If these addresses are consecutive, leave By block ticked and select the appropriate mask. If the addresses do not follow each other, tick By rang and enter the concerned address ranges. - In the remote administration application, go to panel List of servers.
- Enter a name for the Server, PRONOTE.net or Relay and enter the IP address and port number shown in panel Publication parameters of the application.
