Install the Client
If you have opted for the hosting package, the only software you need to install on your computer is the Client PRONOTE. The Client PRONOTE allows you to manage the database saved on your institution's server (a dedicated server, physically present on Index Education's premises). It is the Client PRONOTE that you use on a daily basis to manage the homework notebooks, grades, absences, etc.
Step 1: Download and install the Client
- Go to the download page for the Client PRONOTE.
- Click on the button Download 64-bit Edition of Client PRONOTE.
- Double-click on the downloaded .exe file and follow the installation instructions.
Step 2: Connect the Client to the Server
- Open the Client PRONOTE: you'll be taken to the software's home page.
- Click on the button Add the address of a new server.
- Enter your server's IP address and TCP port:
- IP address: RNE.index-education.net (for example 0131234A.index-education.net)
- TCP port: 49300
- Server designation: name the database (for example, Marie Curie High School).
- Click on Validate: a button corresponding to this base appears on the home page.
- To connect, click on the button that appeared in the previous step; in Administrative mode, enter your username and password.
If you want to change your password during the year, there's no need to connect to the console; you can make the change directly in the Client PRONOTE.
