  • Exempting a student


To authorize entry of dispensations from the display Absences > Exemptions > Entry of the exemptions or home schooling:
  • Administrative mode: dans le menu File> User administration, tick the authorization Student absences> Enter the exemptions.
  • Teacher mode: in the display Resources > Teachers > Utilization profiles, tick the authorization Absenteeism > Enter the exemptions.
  • Student Administration mode: in the display Resources > Staff> Utilization profiles, tick the authorization Absences and Tardiness > Manage the exemptions.



The schedule for the entry of exemptions is only available on the Client; from the Webspaces, only occasional exemptions can be entered (see below).



Authorize the entry of occasional exemptions from the roll call sheet

To authorize the entry of occasional exemptions from the roll call sheets:
  • Teachers Webspace: in the display Resources > Teachers > Utilization profiles, tick the authorization Roll call sheet (with follow-up of students) > Enter the exemptions.
  • Student Administration Webspace: in the display Resources > Staff > Utilization profiles, tick the authorization Study Hall and staff roll call sheet (with follow-up of students) > Enter the exemptions.



Enter an exemption on the exemption entry grid

  1. Go to the display Absences > Exemptions >  Entry of the exemptions or home schooling.
  2. Select the student from the list on the left.
  3. From the drop-down menus on the right, select Exemption, then the subject for which the exemption applies.
  4. By default, an exemption is entered for the day; you can select morning or afternoon via the third drop-down menu.
  5. Click and drag on the days concerned: they are displayed in the subject color and a line corresponding to the exemption appears below the schedule.
  6. Under the schedule, double-click in the column Compulsory attendance if the student must attend class despite being exempted (in this case, the student may be entered as absent on the roll call sheet).






Enter an occasional exemption from the roll call sheet

The Student Administration staff and/or teachers can enter occasional exemptions from their roll call sheet, if their profile includes the corresponding authorization.
  1. Go to the display Absences >Entry > Study Hall and staff roll call sheet.
  2. Select the concerned Study Hall.
  3. Tick the column Exemptions.

 If an exemption has been entered by Student Administration; it can be consulted by clicking on the right-hand (shaded) part of the column Exemptions: its details then appear in a new window.



Validate an exemption requested by the guardians

  1. Go to the display Absences > Exemptions > Exemptions requested by the guardians.
  2. Leave the box Only the unprocessed ticked to filter the list.
  3. To consult the comments left by the guardians, move your mouse over the corresponding column, and the comment will appear in a tooltip.
  4. If the request is accompanied by an attachment, a green tick appears in the corresponding column; to view and/or download the document, right-click on the request and select Attachment > Consult the attachment / Recover the attachment.
  5. To validate the request, click on Validated; to reject the request, click on Ignored; then confirm in the window that appears.
  6. The columns Student's exemption correspond to the information made available to the teacher; if a request has been validated, you can:
    • specify whether the student's attendance remains compulsory despite the exemption: tick the box Compul. attend.
    • modify the guardian's comment for the teacher: double-click in the column Commentary to activate the entry.
    • publish the attachment on the roll call sheet, by ticking the column .



Make attendance compulsory/optional by default for students who are exempt from the course

Go to the menu Parameters > ABSENCES AND ROLL CALLS > Options and select the option For a student exempted from the course, the presence is by default: Compulsory/Optional. The chosen option applies by default, but can be modified on a case-by-case basis.
