  • INTERNET WEBSPACES - How can I access PRONOTE without using the DW (ENT)?

If access to PRONOTE via a DW (ENT) is not possible, you can authorize direct connection to PRONOTE. In this case, you'll need to send users their new connection details: username, temporary password and connection address.


Step 1: Authorize direct connection to PRONOTE

  1. Go to the hosting console.
  2. Go to the tab PRONOTE.net.
  3. Shut down the publication of the base.


  4. Go to the tab Delegate the authentication.
  5. Click on the button Parameters next to the activated delegation.




  6. In the pop-up window, tick the option Authorize direct authentication by PRONOTE.net.
  7. Copy the PRONOTE direct connection address: this is the one you'll need to send to users with their new usernames and passwords.



  8. Validate.
  9. Return the database to service by clicking on Publish the base, then exit the hosting console.


Step 2: Send new connection information to the user

To connect directly to PRONOTE, users must use a PRONOTE username and password. Provisional usernames and passwords are generated automatically when users are created. You can send them by SMS (if the institution has subscribed to the service), e-mail or letter.  Whichever method you use, remember to personalize the template used and add the PRONOTE direct connection address copied in the previous step. 
For example, here's how to send new connection information to teachers by e-mail.
  1. Go to the tab Communication > Mail and Documents > Templates.
  2. Only display the templates for teachers.
  3. Select a template Connection, right-click and select the command Duplicate.
  4. Rename the new document: Direct connection to PRONOTE, for example.
  5. Personalize the mail on the right by modifying at least the connection address: this is the address copied in the previous step that you need to transfer here.



  6. Go to the display Resources > Teachers >  List.
  7. Click on the button in the tool bar.
  8. In the dispatch window, select E-mail as the output type.
  9. Select the template Direct connection to PRONOTE.

  10. Click on the button Print/E-mail.
In the case of a direct connection to PRONOTE, it is strongly recommended to impose double-authentication on teachers and staff.
