  • What's the difference between a safeguard and an archive?

Safeguards and archives have different roles. The safeguard of a base allows you to restore it to its original state (as recorded at time T) in the event of accidental or deliberate data loss. The archive, allows you to store data in a database over the long term, and recover it when needed. Safeguards and archives complement each other, and both are essential to ensure the proper management of your institution's data.
