Create a template
A template document is a letter template containing variables. When it is distributed, these variables are replaced by the appropriate data. Each type of recipient (students, staff, teachers or guardians) has its own templates. Not all templates are available in all displays: it is the allocation of a category (committee, absences, miscellaneous, etc.) that determines which templates are available.
Customize a default template
Templates are available by default. You can edit them directly or duplicate them and edit the duplicates.
- Go to the display Communication > Mail and documents >
Templates. - Select a template from the list on the left.
- Modify its content on the page that appears on the right by using the formatting options and/or inserting variables if necessary.
Create a new template
- Go to the display Communication > Mail and documents >
Templates. - Click on the creation line.
- Enter a designation for the template, then validate with the key Enter on your keyboard.
- In the pop-up window, choose the type of recipient and indicate the category, that is, the context in which the template will be used.
Note
A template can have only one category. If you want to create similar templates for multiple types of recipients, create the first one, format it, and then duplicate it. - Once created, select the template from the list, then enter its contents on the panel on the right. You can:
- copy and paste text from an editor, or write directly in PRONOTE;
- to insert variables, click on the button Insert, then select a variable type from the menu.
Duplicate a template
- Go to the display Communication > Mail and documents >
Templates. - Select a template in the list.
- Right click and choose Duplicate.
