Step 2: Designate the recipients of the survey
- Go to the display Communication > Info/surveys
Information and surveys.
- Click on the button New survey: a window Conduct a survey appears.
- Indicate whether the survey should be nominative (the identity of respondents appears next to their answers) or anonymous.
You can conduct a nominative survey and then anonymize the results when they are released. - Designate the classes concerned by the survey by clicking on the button
then specify user categories by ticking the corresponding boxes.
By ticking the boxes Teachers and Staff you send the information to teachers and staff added to the pedagogical team in the display Resources > Classes >Pedagogical team - if applicable, remember to add PEC, Educational assistants and Teaching assistants to this list.
- If the information is to be communicated to guardians, you must also choose between two mailing methods:
- A dispatch per student (acknowledgements of receipt are listed by student: you can be sure that at least one guardian has read the information);
- A dispatch per guardian (acknowledgements of receipt are listed by guardian: suitable if you want to make sure that all legal guardians are aware of the information - you can identify students later, via an extraction).
- A dispatch per student (acknowledgements of receipt are listed by student: you can be sure that at least one guardian has read the information);
Step 3: Write the survey
- Specify the title of the survey.
-
Choose the type of the first question and if necessary, enter the possible answers:
-
Response to be entered: the recipient must enter a free response.
-
Unique choice: the recipient can choose a single answer from the list. By default, the answers Yes and No are proposed, but you can modify them by double-clicking, and/or add other answers by clicking on Creation of new choice.
-
Multiple choice: the recipient can choose several answers from the list. You can limit the number of possible answers by ticking the box Define a maximum number of choices then enter this number in the box on the right. By ticking the box Propose a choice "Other", you add a free response.
-
- Add as many questions as you like. You can also insert texts, for example, to provide an introductory message (the arrows on the side allow you to change the order of texts and questions).
Step 4: Publish the survey
- If you would like other people to have access to the survey, click on the button
to designate the concerned teachers and/or staff - these people will not be among the respondents.
- To publish the survey, tick the box Publish, then enter the beginning and ending publication dates by double-clicking in the calendars. To save the survey as a draft, leave the box Publish un-ticked.
- Depending on your choice in the previous step, click on Publish or Create a draft.

Step 5: Consult the results of a survey
-
Go to the tab Communication > Info/surveys >
Information and surveys.
-
Click on Distributed in the left-hand pane.
