  • How do I deactivate the messaging service?

To deactivate messaging in PRONOTE, it is necessary to deactivate discussions and prevent the distribution of information/surveys/agenda events/documents in the digital lockers.

Deactivate the discussions

  1. Go to Parameters > Communication > Mail/SMS/Messaging service.
  2. Un-tick Activate the discussions. Caution, SPC (PPMS) alerts can no longer be sent via PRONOTE.


It is also possible to deactivate the messaging service for students only or to prevent only certain students from initiating discussions.

Prevent the sending of information/surveys/events/documents to the lockers

The following procedure must be carried out for each authorization profile (teachers, staff logging on in Student Administration mode, staff logging on in Administrative mode).
  1. Go to:
    • Resources > Teachers > Authorization profiles (for the teachers)
    • Resources > Staff > Authorization profiles (for the staff connecting in Student Administration mode)
    or via the menu File > User administration (for the staff connecting in Administrative mode).
  2. Select a profile.
  3. Un-tick the concerned authorizations.
