  • How can multiple-choice question grading be made more flexible?

In the case of a multiple-choice question, the student must tick all the correct answers and only the correct answers in order to receive full credit for the question. Incorrect answers and omitted correct answers will result in a score of 0 for the question.

This grading method can be made more flexible through two independent and cumulative options.

  1. Go to Pedagogical tools > MCQ > My MCQ, choose a multiple choice questionnaire or create one.
  2. On the right, in the display Execution modalities > Ease the correction of the multiple choice questions:
    • Accept the incomplete correct answers: If the student does not tick all the correct answers, they can obtain at most a fraction of the points on the scale corresponding to (number of correct answers ticked/number of answers expected).
    • Tolerate the presence of incorrect answers: If the student has ticked incorrect answers, the student will receive a maximum of a fraction of the points on the scale corresponding to (number of correct answers ticked - number of incorrect answers)/number of expected answers.
