Initiate a discussion
A discussion is an exchange of messages between at least two participants via PRONOTE's internal messaging system. When you receive a message, a notification is displayed in the tab Communication. As long as you haven't viewed the received elements, this notification remains active.
As anyone can respond, it's advisable to invite a limited number of participants (individuals, groups, classes). If more people are involved, information or survey may be more appropriate.

- Go to the tab Communication > Discussions.
- Click on the button New Discussion.
- In the pop-up window, select the recipients:
- click on the buttons
to designate the people with whom you wish to exchange. - if the message concerns people on a previously created mailing list, click on the button
Use the mailing lists located on the left.
- click on the buttons
- Enter the subject and content of your message. You can also attach a document.
- Click on the button Send.
You can start a discussion from any display by clicking on the button
