How are proficiency levels allocated in Cycle 4?
For Cycle 4, proficiency levels are allocated as follows:
For foreign languages 1

- Proficiency level very good: assigned from level B1 in at least 1 of the 5 language activities and A2 in all others.
- Proficiency level satisfactory: assigned when level A2 is achieved in the five language activities.
- Proficiency level poor: assigned from level A2 in at least 3 of the 5 language activities and A1 in all others.
- Proficiency level unsatisfactory: assigned from level A2 in 1 or 2 of the 5 language activities and A1 in all others.
For foreign languages 2

- Proficiency level very good: assigned from level A2 in more than 2 of the 5 language activities and A1 in all others.
- Proficiency level satisfactory: assigned at least 2 of the 5 language activities from level A2 and A1 in all others.
- Proficiency level poor: assigned from level A2 in one of the five language activities and A1 in all others.
- Proficiency level unsatisfactory: assigned from level A1 in the 5 language activities.
