  How do I indicate an absence, an exemption, or an unreturned test in the entry of grades?

The grades that can be entered depend on the scale defined for each test. However, you can indicate other statuses using the characters designated below.
 
To exclude the test from the grade calculation:

• A: the student is Absent (Abs)
• E: the student is Exempt (Exemp)
• N: the student is Not graded (N.Grad)
• I: the student is Inapt (Inap)
• S: the student did not Submit their test (N.Sbm)

To count the test as a 0 in the calculation of the average:

• Z: the student has an unjustified absence (Abs*)
• W: the student did not turn in their assignment (N.Sbm)
