Define user rights for consultation
Users of CONSULT groups cannot modify data in the database; they have access to data authorized for consultation only. To configure groups of the type CONSULT, you must have an unlimited consultation license.
Acquire the unlimited consultation license
To purchase an unlimited consultation license, please contact our sales department.
Create a CONSULT group
- Go to the menu File > User administration, then enter your password: a window User Administration appears.
- Click on Create a group, enter the group name, then validate with the key Enter on your keyboard: by default, the group created is of type MODIF.
- Change type MODIF to CONSULT: double-click on MODIF, then click on Yes in the pop-up window: the group is now of type CONSULT.
- Select the concerned group from the list on the left, then customize the list of consultable data on the right.
- Go to the panel Users, then add the concerned users to the group.
Login with your usual consultation account
In the connection window, simply tick the box Consultation before clicking on Connect.
