  • Calculate or enter a periodic global positioning

1. Calculate or enter a periodic global positioning

If you have chosen to display a global positioning for the evaluation by the teachers, you must finalize it before choosing the way(s) to edit the statements that suit you.
The display of a global positioning requires a phase of harmonization of evaluations. PRONOTE Campus offers two methods for this: an automatic calculation according to the evaluations of each teacher or manual selection of the final evaluation level for items and competencies.
Ticking the box Replace the evaluation levels already allocated replaces the evaluation of a competence entered manually by a teacher with the average of the evaluations of the items.

First method: Automatically calculate the position

  1. Go to the display CompetenciesPeriodic statement Periodic competence statement.
  2. Click on the  in the column Teach.
  3. In the pop-up window, choose whether or not to keep the already determined positionings and then validate.

  1. PRONOTE Campus calculates:
    • the global positioning of teachers for an item, visible in the column Teach., based on each teacher's evaluation.
    • the evaluation of the competence by each teacher based on the evaluation of each item of the competence, visible in the tooltip when hovering over the box Teach. in relation to the competence.
    • the global positioning of teachers for the competence, visible in the column Teach. (and in the tooltip) based on the pre-calculated evaluations of each teacher, or on the manual evaluation established by the teacher where applicable.

Second method: Enter positioning manually

  1. Go to the display CompetenciesPeriodic statement Periodic competence statement.
  2. Double click in the column Teach. or use a right-click > Modify the positioning.
  3. In the window Evaluation levels that opens, choose the evaluation level corresponding to the global positioning for the competence or for the item.

  4. The selected level replaces the calculated level without affecting the details of the evaluations.
To view details of evaluations by teacher, place the mouse cursor over the evaluation to be viewed in detail.

2. Calculate or enter an annual global positioning

If you have chosen to carry out periodic evaluations in addition to the annual evaluation, you will need to go through a phase to determine your overall annual positioning.
PRONOTE Campus offers you four ways to determine your annual global positioning:
  • manual determination directly in the annual statement,
  • the average of the periods,
  • the best of the periods,
  • the last period.

First method: Automatically calculate positioning

  1. Go to the display Competencies > Periodic statement > Definition of the mock-ups for the periodic competence statement, and choose the wanted mode.

  2. Go to the display Competencies > Periodic statement > Periodic competence statement.
  3. Select the global period.

  1. Click on the in the column Teach.
  2. In the pop-up window, choose whether or not to keep the positions already determined, then validate. Ticking the box Replace the evaluation levels already allocated replaces the evaluation of a competence entered manually by a teacher with the average of evaluations of the items.

  1. PRONOTE Campus determines global positioning according to the mode selected in the statement mock-up.

Second method: Enter the positioning manually

  1. Go to the display Competencies > Periodic statement > Periodic competence statement.
  2. Double-click in the column Teach. or right-click > Modify the positioning.
  3. In the window Evaluation levels that opens, choose the evaluation level corresponding to the global positioning for the bloc, competence or for the item.

  1. The selected level replaces the calculated level.
To view details of evaluations by the teacher and by period, place the mouse cursor on the global position to be detailed. The tooltip reminds you how to calculate the global positioning.

3. Calculate the decisions for each competence

The decision for each competence is calculated on the basis of all the teaching evaluations (global positioning even if it is not displayed on the statement) and all the in-company evaluations (average if there are several internships or work-studies) with the same weighting.
  1. Go to the display Competencies > Periodic statement >  Periodic competence statement.
  2. Click on the button in the column Decisions.

  1. In the pop-up window, choose whether or not to keep the already determined positionings and then validate.
  2. PRONOTE Campus establishes the decision by averaging the positionings according to the point values configured for each proficiency level.

  1. You can cancel an automatic decision by double-clicking in the corresponding box and choosing No decision.
The calculation of the decision forces the calculation of the global and in-company positioning of the studies if they have not been carried out.

4. Completing a student's competence statement

A competence reference frame must have been imported (or created) and associated with a class and the evaluators beforehand. Evaluations and appraisals can be entered directly by teachers and counselors/tutors, so it is a matter of completing or modifying what has been entered.

Enter/modify the proficiency levels

    • Go to the display Competencies > Periodic statement >  Periodic competence statement.
    • Select:
      • the class
      • the student
      • the evaluation period

  1. Enter the overall appraisal by the teaching staff.
  2. Enter or complete the evaluation according to the mode chosen during the configuration of the mock-up:
    • Details of each teacher's evaluations: double-click in the box of the teacher in the column Evaluation of the studies corresponding to the competence or competence item to be evaluated. In the pop-up window, double-click in the evaluation or comment box to fill in the information.

    • Global Positioning: click once in the box of the column Positioning corresponding to the block of competencies, the competence or competence item to be evaluated. In the window Evaluation levels that opens, choose the corresponding level, then validate.

Individual teacher evaluations can always be modified in the global positioning display by using a right-click > Modify the evaluations in the box of the block of competencies, competence or item.

The appraisal by block of competencies must be activated for the teachers and/or counselors/tutors when activating the evaluation by competencies and the appraisals by block of competencies must be selected in the mock-up of the statement.

  2. In the pop-up window, double-click in the column Appraisal of the teacher or counselor/tutor for whom you want to fill in an appraisal.
  3. Fill in the appraisal and click on Close.

5. Editing a student's periodic competence statement
