Use a lesson model
A lesson model allows you to define a number of characteristics that will be automatically allocated to lessons built from this model. This saves time when entering data when a number of lessons have to have the same characteristics. Lesson models are applied by default when a lesson is created:
- from the command Edit > New lesson;
- during a room reservation;
- when creating from a curriculum;
- by clicking and dragging in the grid, in this case the duration defined in the model is not taken into account.
Step One: Create a lesson model
- Go to the menu Parameters > Lesson> Lesson model.
- Tick on the creation line, enter a designation and validate with the key Enteron your keyboard.
- In the tab Lesson's characteristics, enter the characteristics that the lessons created with this model will have by default.
- In the tab Unavailability and wishes, you can indicate slots in which the lessons created from the model cannot be placed. For example, you can prohibit the placement of lectures after 4pm. The unavailability may be modified at any time, on all or part of the lessons, in the display Schedules > Lessons >
Unavailability and wishes.
Second step: Use a lesson model
You can use a lesson model:
-
When you create a lesson from
Multi-week schedule or
General schedule. - When you create a lesson from the
List of lessons, via keyboard shortcut Ctrl + N or the menu Edit > Create a lesson > Initialize with the model. - During the creation of lessons based on curricula.
The lesson inherits the properties defined for this model; you can then modify them if you wish. However, a lesson model cannot be applied retrospectively.
