  • Define an inter-course

1. Activate the breaks

Activate the breaks is only useful if you use automatic placement and want certain courses not to overlap these breaks.
  1. Go to the menu Parameters > General parameters > Breaks/Inter-course.
  2. Tick Activate the first break.
  3. Select the break time from the drop-down menu or click and drag the yellow line onto the grid.

  1. Repeat the operation if you have several breaks.
It will be necessary to think later about indicating the courses that must not overlap these breaks.

2. Define an inter-course

Defining a break is a way to guarantee a period of time between two courses. There is no need to do this if the time is 5 minutes: it is usually counted as part of the time of the course.
  1. Go to the menu Parameters > General parameters > Breaks/Inter-course.
  2. In the frame Inter-course break, select the lapse of time to comply with for the classes and/or teachers.

If the inter-class is only necessary in some cases, for example for transit from one site to another, use the remote site management instead..

3. Group the courses

Grouping courses affects automatic placement and is also taken into account during manual placement when determining the best placement.
  1. Go to the menu Parameters > General parameters > Breaks/Inter-courses.
  2. In the frame Group the courses..., select:
    • around the midday if you want to distribute the courses on either side of midday;
    • at the earliest time during the day if you want the courses to be placed at the beginning of the day.
