Indicate the unavailability of a class
Unavailability refers to time slots where the class cannot have a course. Unavailability is rigorously complied with during automatic placement. During manual placement, it is indicated, but the user can ignore them.
- Go to the display Schedules > Classes>
Unavailability and wishes. - Select the class(es) from the list on the left.
- In the menu select:
- for the active period if you wish to enter recurrent unavailability (for example, from 1 pm to 2 pm every day of the week); in this case, check the highlighted weeks on the bottom slider.
- week by week if you wish to enter dispersed unavailability.
- Click on the red brush next to the menu (the green brush is used to define the periods during when it is preferable to have courses).
- Click and drag on the slots where the class(es) are not available.
Class unavailability can be used to prevent course placement over periods of vacations, lunch breaks, etc.
Enter default unavailability
Unavailability is allocated by default to all new resources, but not to resources that have already been created.
- Go to the menu Parameters > Other data >Unavailability by default.
- Select Classes in the drop-down menu.
- Click on the red paintbrush to select it.
- Click and drag on the slots where all classes are unavailable.
