Indicate non-compulsory courses
Table of Contents
1. Indicate non-compulsory courses
By default, all courses created are compulsory. Designating non-compulsory courses allows you not to count the absences in some courses.
-
Go to the display Assiduity > Roll call management >
Specify the courses where attendance is compulsory. - Select the non-compulsory courses. To find them, you can sort the list of courses by subject or by type.
- Right-click and choose Modify > Courses where attendance is compulsory > Render attendance non-compulsory for the course.
If the course is not compulsory for some students only, exemptions must be created.
2. Définir le mode d'appel utilisé par les enseignants
Once the administrator has authorized entry for the roll call sheet, the call can be taken in 3 ways:
By the teacher: this is the teacher's entry on the roll call sheet.- By
Set QR Code: a QR Code is provided for students to validate their attendance. The QR Code remains identical for the duration of the scanning session. This QR Code can be printed out to circulate in the classroom, for example, or displayed on a wall. - By
Rolling QR Code: the teacher can display the QR Code on a shared screen for students to confirm their attendance by scanning it. The purpose of the rolling QR Code is to provide additional security. Since QR Codes have a short validation time, they are less easily duplicated. For example, as it is more difficult to capture, it will be less easy to take a photo of it and pass it on to a student who is not physically present.
