  • Working with an archive on the hosting console

All automatically created archives are encrypted (*.archs files) to protect sensitive data; they can only be accessed by PRONOTE Campus. In the hosted mode, an archive is created daily and gradually replaced on a 30-day rotation. These settings cannot be changed.

1. Consult an archive created from the Client

Note
You must be logged in as an administrator.
  1. From the Client, go to the menu Server > Display the server's safeguards and archives.
  2. In the pop-up window, you'll see the archives created through automatic archiving; select the archive you want to consult.
  3. Click on Consult to verify the data in the base. Launch the command File > Quit the archive consultation once the consultation is over.

2. Reactivate an archive from the Console

  1. From the panel My schedules of the Console, select the schedule from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click on the tab PRONOTE Campus server.
  3. In the tab Safeguards, select an archive, then click on the button Open this archive on the right side of the screen.
    Note
If you have a database in use, you must shut down the server before you can replace the current base.

3. Download an archive locally from the Console

  1. From the panel My schedules of the Console, select the schedule from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click on the tab PRONOTE Campus server.
  3. Select the base you want to download, then click on the button Download this archive on the right side of the screen.

    Advice
We recommend that you open the downloaded archive locally and make a copy of it so that you can use the feature Consult a base saved on this workstation from the Client.
