New customer: First steps for the hosting manager
Step No. 1: Reception of connection information
Once the hosting manager has been declared, Index Education sends them an invoice number in an initial email.
A second email is then sent to provide them with the hosting number. Make sure you have both pieces of information.
At the same time, you will receive the password for the hosting console via a SMS
Step No. 2: Connection to hosting console
The hosting manager connects to a hosting console.
- From an Internet browser, go to the address indicated in the email: https://www.index-education.com/fr/console-hebergement-pronote-campus.php
- Download the application and follow the installation procedure.
- From the workstation where the console is installed, double-click on the shortcut installed on your desktop.
- Select Je me connecte en tant que | responsable de l'hébergement (I log in as | hosting manager).
- Enter the hosting number (12 digits, sent by e-mail) and the hosting console password (14 characters, sent by SMS), then click on the button Se connecter à la console d'hébergement (Connect to the hosting console).
The password for accessing the hosting manager's console cannot be changed. We recommend that you keep it safe, otherwise it will need to be reset via the sales department or customer support service. - In the next window, enter the invoice number (10 digits, sent by e-mail), then click on the button Installer le certificat (Install the certificate).
You will only be asked for your invoice number when you log on for the first time. - A window confirms that the certificate has been installed. Click on the button Se connecter à la console d'hébergement (Connect to the hosting console).
- The console configuration page is then displayed in a browser tab.
- Tick J'accepte le Contrat de licence (I accept the License Agreement), then click on the button Accepter (Accept).
Step No. 3: Configuration of schedules
- In the panel Configuration of the console, enter a domain name. We recommend that you enter the name of your school.
- Confirm the association of the domain name with the controller by clicking on Yes.
- In the pop-up window, click on OK.
- The consideration of the domain name is accompanied by an associated port number. These two elements will constitute the connection details to the controller from the Client PRONOTE Campus.
-
If necessary, change the name of the first schedule (default name: planning01), then click OK in the window that appears.
- Leave ticked the box Activer une licence PRONOTE Campus.net (Activate a PRONOTE Campus.net license). This means that when the database is activated, it will be published automatically.
- Enter the name of the associated domain.
- Confirm the association of the domain name with the schedule by clicking on Yes.
- In the pop-up window, click on OK.
- The domain name is accompanied by an associated port number. These two elements constitute the connection details for connecting to the server from the PRONOTE Campus Client.
- Proceed in the same way for the second schedule.
Step No. 4: Creation of the first superadministrator
- Click in the pane Controller
of the console. - Create the superadministrator by entering:
- the first name,
- the surname,
- the username
- the password (to be confirmed).
- Click on the button Create the superadministrator.
- A window confirms the creation of the superadministrator. Click on the button Ok.
- From the panel Controller
of the console, click on the tab List of users. The superadministrator is now visible. - To authorize the superadministrator to also access the console, first enter a valid e-mail address, then tick the column
..
Step No. 5: Assigning the superadministrator to an Administration profile
To enable the superadministrator to connect to the database, he/she must then be assigned to the profile Administration for the concerned schedule.
- From the panel Controller
of the console, click on the tab Assigning to profiles. - Select the schedule, then click on the profile Administration.
- In the pop-up window, tick the superadministrator, then validate.
- The superadministrator is assigned to the profile Administration.
Step No. 6: Transmission of connection information to the superadministrator
Once the schedule(s) has/have been configured and the superadministrator has been created, if the hosting manager is not also the super administrator, they no longer need to take action on the console. All they need to do now is send the designated superadministrator the information they need to log in to the console and continue deploying the hosted solution, namely:
- the following address to download and install the hosting console: https://www.index-education.com/fr/console-hebergement-pronote-campus.php
- the hosting number,
- the invoice number,
- your username (chosen in step 4),
- your password (chosen in step 4).
