  • Establish room groups

A room group assembles rooms that meet the same needs and are interchangeable (lecture halls, laboratories, rooms of the same capacity, etc.). The use of room groups makes it possible to delegate the final allocation of rooms to HYPERPLANNING: instead of blocking a particular room for a course, you indicate that you require a room - for example, among the 40-seat rooms - available in the time slot in which the course is held.

First step: create the room group

  1. Go to the tab Schedules > Rooms > List.
  2. If it is not already done, create the rooms that you want to place in the room group.
  3. The group is entered like a room: click on the creation line, enter the name of the group and confirm with the key Enter.
  4. Double-click in the column No. to indicate the number of assembled rooms; this is what distinguishes a room from a room group in the list.

Second step: link the rooms to the group

For a room to be linked to the group, it must:

  • to have all its unavailability included in those of the group;
  • not be linked to any other group;
  • be on the same site as the group, if site management is enabled.
  1. Go to the tab Schedules > Rooms > Manage the room groups.
  2. Select the room group from the list on the left.
  3. Click and drag the room(s) from the list on the right to the central list to add them to the group.
